Tablet Project Feedback
What Buyers Value in Tablet Manufacturing
We originally focused only on fitting the full active serving into one tablet. The compression review showed that the tablet would become larger than we wanted, so we adjusted the serving strategy before spending time on final packaging. That saved us from changing the product later.
The formula was already established, but the new tablet needed a cleaner finish and better handling for our bottle line. Reviewing compression, coating and packaging as one project made the sample approval much more straightforward.
For repeat tablet orders, consistency in tablet weight, appearance and batch paperwork matters more to us than a small price difference. Having the specification and release documents coordinated before shipment made receiving much easier.
Tablet Manufacturing FAQ
Tablet Manufacturing FAQs
What is approved before a tablet formula enters production?
Agree ingredient specifications, active amount per serving, tablet weight and count, tooling dimensions and any score-line or coating requirement. Record the sample approval and applicable test methods and acceptance criteria. A formula transfer is screened for compression and pack compatibility rather than assumed ready for production.
What tablet shapes and sizes can be manufactured?
Tablet shape, size and weight depend on formula load, tooling feasibility, swallowing experience and production requirements. Round, oval, scored and other project-specific formats can be reviewed during development.
Can tablet score lines and coatings be customized?
Score lines, surface finish and applicable coating options can be reviewed according to tooling, formula compatibility, appearance goals and market requirements.
How is tablet weight determined?
Tablet weight is reviewed around the ingredient load, target serving, excipient system, compressibility and acceptable tablet size. These factors should be balanced before commercial compression.
What is the MOQ for tablet manufacturing?
MOQ depends on formula, tablet format, tooling, coating, packaging configuration and production setup. Share the project brief and target quantity so the appropriate commercial route can be reviewed.
Can I request tablet samples before production?
Sampling can be used to review tablet size, compression behavior, appearance, coating direction and other approved project requirements before commercial production.
What packaging formats are available for tablet projects?
Tablet projects can be reviewed for bottles, blister packs and applicable secondary packaging. Artwork scope, MOQ and commercial feasibility depend on the selected pack configuration.
How should tablet acceptance checks be defined?
Specify which weight, appearance, hardness, friability, disintegration or other tests apply to the proposed tablet. Define the methods and acceptance criteria with the approved formula and coating. Ask which batch records and reports are included in the project scope before comparing quotations.
How long does tablet development and production take?
Timing depends on formula complexity, compression trials, sample approval, coating, packaging readiness and production scheduling. A detailed timeline can be reviewed once the project brief is confirmed.
